Because every time, I can't help but pass the "wall of fame" as I call it. It's a list of all the events in track, and the person who currentally holds to record in that event.
Meagan holds two.
The first one is for the 100 meter hurdles, which she's help there since 2004, three years. You can tell that she's hard to beat.
The second record is for the 200 meter hurdles, set in 2005, and has been there for two years now.
Luck and chance? Possibly. Natural talent? Sure. But there is really only one reason someone can hold these records for so long, expessially with the fact that Eagle Middle had a very good district meet for the hurdlers. Meagan Walker was determined. She wanted to be a good track star. And she never gave up.
Detetmination. It's something I have yet to learn. I know that if I had just pushed myself at districts, I could have done better. I could have passed that sawtooth girl in front of me.
But I didn't.
Determination. Meagan Walker taught me that one.
