| Week 16-The baby is now 6 inches in length and weighing 4.25 ounces. The baby is able to blink, swallow, move his/her eyes, and is now sensitive to light. The sex is now evident. 4 months! We had a doctor appointment this week. We had our sonogram (see pictures). The baby was being very modest and did not want us to see what was between his/her legs. We were happy to know that everything looked good. The baby again is measuring very large compared to what it should be. My due date got moved up again so now I have 3 different ones! The spine and organs are developing normal. |

| Week 17-The baby is now 7 inches long and is weighing approximately 6 ounces. The fingernails and toenails are now formed. The footprints are now distinguishable. The baby is practicing breathing in and out with the amniotic fluid. I feel the baby kicking and moving all day long now! If I lay on my left side to sleep for some reason it moves around the most. Jim can now feel it kicking by touching the outside of my belly! I am wearing 100% maternity clothes now and they are so comfortable! |

| 18 weeks-Measuring 8 inches and 8 ounces the baby is now growing at a very rapid rate! The baby is becoming more active and can now hear noises. Loud noises can now startle the baby in the womb. I have been feeling extremely good lately. Not as tired as I have been and my headaches are not as bad. The movement is unreal and so often. I just wish I knew if it was a boy or girl! |
