| Week 13-He/she is weighing approximately 1.5 ounces and is now 4.15 inches long. All major organs are functioning. The vocal cords are now formed. The eyebrows and scalp hair are starting to grow. Hello 2nd trimester! I had an appointment with my Ob. He was able to pick up the heartbeat with the doppler immediately. The heartbeat sounded like a galloping horse. It was 160 beats per minute. Everything is going good. I gained 2 pounds this visit. Next appointment I get my ultrasound and we will hopefully be able to find out if it is a he or a she! |

| Week 14-Length is approximately 4.75 inches long and weight is 2.20 ounces. Smiling, frowning, and hiccups are now all able to be done by the baby. The fingerprints are now already formed! Well it is beginning to look like a real baby now. Everything has been going great. No complaints. I am not as tired as much now. I have no real cravings yet. But I cannot stand any fragrance smells. Yuck! |
| Week 15-The baby is now measuring 5.30 inches and weighs 3.20 ounces. Wow you are growing fast! The body is now covering itself with lanugo which is a soft, fine, down-like hair. I felt the baby move this week. It was such a good feeling and a relief to klnow that things were doing ok in my belly! |
