Its winter all over again, and there is absolutely nothing that I can say about softball right now.
Both of my summer softball teams won the league championships! It was a great year for softball. I also played on Sunday nights until October, and that kept me very busy. But it was tons of fun.
Well, so this page doesn't seem quite so boring, I will tell you a little bit about the teams I play on. One team is called The Rebels and we play at the New England Sportsplex, which is located right off exit 67 of I-84. (That is necessary information for any of my numerous fans...) I play there on Thursday nights. Well, I should mention that this team is now co-ed, meaning that my younger brother Brendan also plays on it. He's a great player, but it makes for an interesting situation, when my father aims to calculate the FBA (family batting average). Isn't that clever???
The other softball team that I play on is in East Hartford. We play at McAuliffe Park. We used to be called The Grille, however, this establishment is no longer in existence. The new name of the team is Southpaws Bar and Grill . I don't think we have any lefties on our team, which is a little strange considering our team name. We played every Tuesday, and I assume things will be the same this coming year.
