I have been a member of CLA since 2007. I was previously a member of the CACUL (Canadian Association of College and University Libraries) Division, since I started my MLIS believing that I wanted to work in an Academic Library. Since that time, my horizons have broadened, and upon renewal of my membership this November, I switched divisions to CAPL (Canadian Association of Public Libraries). More information about CLA can be found at www.cla.ca.
I am also a member of the Manitoba Library Association. More information about MLA can be found at www.mla.mb.ca.
During my time as a student, both at the University of Winnipeg and McGill University, I have become very involved in student life. My activities in these domains have been described on the UWJazz and the MLISSA pages of this web site.
Like many pre-teen girls, my first job, at age 11, was as a babysitter. Before the age of 16, I also had a flyer route and did yard work to make money. I started my first official job three days after I turned 16. True, it did only last 11 days, but I made more in those 11 days than I had ever made in one paycheque before, and I was hooked.
On the following page, there is a list of my employment experience of the last ten years. It is as complete as I can make it from memory. I may have forgotten some jobs. Hopefully, if that is the case, they are ones that were of shorter duration. once I have access to the files where this information has been kept, I will be updating this page.
