The Mashed Potatos Club Motto: The links may not work, but hey - ain't they pretty!?!?
Quite honestly I am really going to try to get some more interesting things posted here and I am also going to remove my guestbook and create a new one because the one I have now is driving me crazy and believe me it is not a long trip. Anywho, after that exceedingly long run-on sentence, I am now going to work on the site so................ currently under construction Thank you for your cooperation. Megan the Single
My Story: I was born off the coast of a small African country (it doesn't matter which one, there are lots of them). I was found by a woman named Inga VanSchnitzel who had gotten smashed on a cruiseship and accidentily fallen off the side of the ship. Using her magical powers, Inga formed a bubble around me and attached it to her back as she swam to shore. We arrived on the coast of Africa (again, it doesn't matter what country) when I was about two years old. Inga was a slow swimmer. From there we flew on African Airlines to Inga hometown of Vienna. It was there that she taught me how to walk, speak and had my webbed feet fixed (the prolonged period of time I spent in water had that effect on me). I lived with Inga on land in her home and went to school in Vienna, where everyone called me Diesel (an unfortunate mistake on the class roster, my name was intened to be Liesel). Inga was just like a mother to me, but I longed for the sea, having lived there for the first few years of my life. So one evening when Inga was out milking our cows, all named Gerard (somewhat confusing to us, but they didn't know the difference), I, now five or six years of age, decided to hitchhike to the closest ocean and swim to my hearts content. So I left a note for Inga that read, "Gone Svimming, I vill return between two und three months from now." So I went. I reached what I now know to be called the Atlantic Ocean and I dove in. I swam for at least a month or so. Then, on one particularly wavy day, I saw land. I figured it was the same land I had lived on, so I kept swimming towards it. When I was reached the beach I found I small girl that looked almost exactly like me, except for her two bottom front teeth were yellow. I went to her and said, "Vere am I?" "America" she replied. "Vat is dis America?" "Uhhh, it's a country. I don't know, I am only six." "Ohhh, I am six as vell. I come from Germany, across zee Atlantic Ocean." "Really?" "Ya." "Cool, can we trade places. I've always wanted to live in Germany." So I switched with my American twin, taking the name Megan. The American accent was easy to learn, for although I lived in Vienna, I did not speak German, but I spoke English with a German accent. She had no trouble learing the German accent either. My American family did not notice the difference, as my twin and I both yanked out our two bottom front teeth to avoid being found out. Inga did not notice the difference either, although I imagine she was slightly confused by the fact that "I" came back to her on an airplane instead of in the ocean (my twin was not turned on by swimming all the way across the ocean). We stay in contact, but have never switched back because we are both happier where we are now. I miss Inga, but I know that my other half is there to love her for me. I'm sure "Diesel" misses her family, but I am here to love them for her. I cannot help but laugh when my American mom, (who makes me call her Mom - weird) says that I must have two sides, because little does she know, I do, it just so happens that my other side is on the other side of the ocean (Mom looks at me weird when I tell her that). THE END P.S. The cows are fine, but have a tendency to moo constantly in the middle of the night. P.P.S. This entire story is true, except for everything after My Story:.
