8/3/04: Updates galore

I have added the Mega Man shrine and reintroduced the MMX mini-shrine to the masses! Don't worry though, I will soon give it a makeover to be just like the Mega shrine. Also, I have added a link to to Shin's Fanfiction site, started by a good friend of mine, Tsephiroth05. Trust me, he doesn't half ass his fanfic. If you have any opinions or concerns, contact me at

8/2/04: Review of Mega Man Anniversery Collection

I thought that having a 10-game collection of all the old Mega Man console games would be great fun. I was right. The PS2 version has excellent controls, good graphics (for both the 8-bit games and the more recent ones in the collection), as well as many hours of mind-numbing excitement. However, I was a little disappointed in the number of unlockable goodies. Although you get quite a few, you don't get as much as you should for a 15th anniversery collection. However, the full-length premiere episode of the Mega Man cartoon show was a good touch, although I would appreciate a Japanese episode (personal preference).
The original 8 games and the two arcade games of the series show up here and they are excellent. For younger gamers who don't appreciate the nostalgia feeling (or for those of us that want to hear something else than 8-bit music), you can activate Navi mode, which gives remixed tracks for the first 6 games (mostly), and gives hints for all accesible by the Select button. This mode, in addition to a difficulty setting, is good for younger gamers. But for those seasoned gamers, I better not catch you turning it down just to beat the game easy. Where is the honor in that?
The only thing about the game is that the collection kept all of the game's glitches with it, which were back then barely noticeable as they are now. Other than that, you can get your Mega Buster on in this hellacious game!
