About Us
I am 26 years old. I work with animals and have worked with them in one way or another my entire working career.
I was born , grew up and graduated from high school  in Surrey, British Columbia, then moved to Campbell River British Columbia in December of 2001 with Rob my then boyfriend ( now fianc).
While we lived in Campbell River we made some great friends and were involved in the local dog club, helping with the annual show ( "Chef Wheeler" at the concession stand won't likely be forgotten) and even teaching a few dog show handling classes. We lived in Campbell River for 4 years before deciding it was time to move back "home" to the lower mainland.
We moved back to Surrey in December of 2005 and it is where we remain until the present date.
I love animals dogs and horses  in particular and own 3 dogs, 2 Bouviers and 1 Chinese crested we casually exhibit in local dog shows
Robert Wheeler (Rob) is 27 years old. Rob is a property manager with his own company named "Roven Management".
Rob was born in New Westminster British Columbia and grew up and graduated from High School in Surrey British Columbia.
He graduated from BCIT as a Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) in 2001. He  then moved to Campbell River British Columbia in December of 2001 with Megan.
In Campbell River Rob worked as an AME for the company Helifor. This job took him all over BC .
He was involved in the teams trying to put out the huge forest fires British Columbia suffered in 2004.
Although Rob enjoyed his job working on the gigantic helicopters used in Heli-logging he disliked the part of the job that took him into camp for weeks and even months at a time. He eventually took a job in town for a company called T-Mar working on repairing the huge cranes and other machines used in the BC logging industry.
Rob was then presented the opportunity to work with his father (Steve Wheeler) of Davin Property Management in Surrey . He went to work with his dad on a trial basis and found the office to be more to his liking , and the rest is history.

How we met
The proposal

Rob got us tickets to see Phantom of the Opera, a show which I had never seen  but he had . I had never been to the live theatre before and it was something he really enjoyed when he went to see it as a teenager. Anyway Rob was very excited to go , which I simply attributed to the fact that it was such a great show and he wanted to share it with me..
Well we went and it was awesome, I loved it beginning to end despite the fact that a miniature bottle of water cost $2.50 and for some reason Rob could not seem to get comfortable through the whole performance shifting in his seat and jiggling his leg constantly to which I must admit I had a few object words of the "KNOCK IT OFF" variety.

After the show ( it was a matinee) Rob told me he had made a reservation at my favorite restaurant in Downtown Vancouver called the
Macaroni Grill an  Italian restaurant in a beautiful restored mansion with Opera singers and fantastic food.

I was  thrilled as Rob had never been there and it is so awesome. I should have been suspicious as soon as the hostess asked us if we were there for a special occasion and Rob snapped out "No!"  I should have been more so when they stuck us in a totally private corner under the grand staircase. But I wasn't, in fact, I was pissed. Rob had never been here before and we were stuck under the stairs where he couldn't see any of the restaurant and none of the opera singers would be able to squeeze in there at all...I mean they were busy but I thought "this is ridiculous!"

So after a few (nervous bladder) bathroom trips from Rob ( to which I was also oblivious) . He said to me . "I was going to wait until after the meal but there is no way I'm going to be able to eat until I ask". I stared at him with a mouthful of (delicious) homemade Italian bread and the lightbulb went on *ding* "Will you marry me? ", he asked holding out a white gold solitaire. Now the question is this, have you ever tried to speak with a mouthful of bread ? Probably. I tried to swallow as best as I could and  glurbed out a bready "Of course!" and that's that!

Rob and I knew of each other long before we were even interested in each other.
We met while we were both in high school through mutual friends. Rob was 2 years ahead of me

One night a few years after we had graduated from high school I happened to go to another mutal friends house and Rob was there. Needless to say Rob was halfway  to smashing drunk ( romantic I know) and was in no condition to drive home, so I drove him.
We spent several hours in my drive way in his car waiting for him to sober up and be able to drive his car home.
In those hours we talked and l'amore began to grow...kidding. We both decided that we liked each others company as people tend to do.
We spent more and more time together and after a year or so moved in together.
