The
part for transporting the egg
This is the part which contains the base, the triangle as the tracks for the egg carrier and the egg carrier.
For the base, I use wood board with 15mm thickness. Its dimension is 1 metre ╳ 0.5 metres which is two 0.5 metres ╳ 0.5 metres placed together. Its function is for transportation. As the whole product is large and cannot go into the lift. So I have to divide it into two parts for moving it one by one.
For the track for the egg carrier, I choose triangle as the material because it is hard and can support load. And it is straight so that the egg carrier can move smoothly on the track. In below, it shows the triangle track for the egg carrier.
For the transportation of the egg, an egg car has been designed. (a) It is a carrier with 4 wheels at the base. (b) And there is three plastic under the base and longer than the length of the wheels. It is used to move the car by the rolling ball. Because of this function, the tracks of the egg carrier are only on the two sides. The centre of the track is no boundaries so that the egg carrier can go from start point to end point.
Also, there is a cup on the car. (c) It is the place I carry the egg. There are more than half of the volume of the carrier is covered. It is used to keep the egg on the upper part of the cup. Then it can prevent the egg to contact with the metal. Also, I have put some load on the base of the cup so that the cup will not easily turn and spread out the egg.
Lastly, there is block in front of the cup. (d) It is also used to prevent the cup turn down easily. Another use is for the flow of the egg. When the egg is flowing into the pan, the angle should be controlled. If not, the cup will turn in a large angle and causes the egg spread out on the carrier but not inside the pan.
