19 June 2000

We departed from Rome and boarded the Croatian Airline to Split in the late afternoon. Thanks to our Lord, our Blessed Mother and St. Joseph! Our family (all six of us) managed to pass through the Croatian Customs with no trouble (despite some last minute visa problem just prior to our departure from home).

Ana Sego, our local tour guide, greeted us at the airport, and led us in prayer and the Rosary as we set off on the bus to Medjugorje. On the way, we stopped by and visited a beautiful shrine, which Ana said is like the Croatian version of Lourdes. At 11.10pm that night, we arrived at Medjugorje. We were warmly greeted by Martin and his family with a sumptuous hot supper.

This is the house that we stayed at. It's only a 3-minute walk to the Church.
