Before
my first Criminal Justice course my opinion of police officers was,
well, a bad one. My teacher, Jennifer Taylor, was a police
officer. Throughout the course I was reminded that these people
are humans too. Their jobs are not easy, in fact they're
extremely challenging. Police officers are putting their lives in
danger so they can protect us. Yes, they hand out traffic tickets
and some people are treated unjustly, but they are human and they do
make mistakes. Their job is to enforce the law, and the law
exists to protect society.
