| time to lay down some real knowledge upon all of you. i have been thinking lately about the choices people make. they are all made on what society says is the right thing, in other words towards the current trend. no one makes their own choices anymore. the goal everyone is striving for is to be different. its almost impossible to do as far as your look is concerned; mostly because there is a group that has your look. your look can only get you so far. but one thing we can do is have a different personality. personality is the only thing that can change the way the world works. the way you express yourself to others is key. you stay possitive then everyone is possitive. i learned a lot over the last few days at commerce. we discussed a lot about sociology and how people react to certain things. and the main thing is personality. you can be as smart as humanly possible, and do everything perfect, but your personality is what counts. you have to sell yourself. you have to make people know your name. you have to be the one that people like. without that you might as well kill yourself cause you will not get promoted and you will not acheive what you think you will through book smarts alone. books smarts gets you the job; personality keeps you there. there are ways to increase the way people react to you; and these are my methods and it seems to always work. and this is the real knowledge i am laying down for you. 1.) DO NOT USE NEGATIVE WORDS. something as simple as a "no problem" is negative. "no" obviously is negative and "problem" is negative, and its not like math where 2 negatives equal a positive. 2.) DO NOT BE SHY. start conversations. make jokes. do everything YOU can to make a situation easier for you and others around you. people dont like to talk to strangers so introduce yourself and dont be a stranger by the end of your convo. 3.) this is a big one REMEMBER PEOPLES NAMES. hey you and just saying things to people with out using their name is a problem. names really mean a lot. 4.) ACT LIKE YOU HAVE BEEN EVERWHERE AND DONE EVERYTHING. by this i dont mean lie to people, i mean look as if your confident about every single action you make. people like the feeling of being sure and if they think your sure than they to become sure. simple as that. i can pretty much go on and on about how to get people to react positivly toward you, i would rate myself extremely high on getting people to like me and those 4 things are key. and for all of you who say "steve you are an idiot and i already know all of this" i say "then how come you do not meet new people all the time and stick to the same crowd?" |
