We need volunteers to help out with committees! Here's a description of the responsibilities and an approximation of how many hours of commitment are required:

Block captains -- Block captains are responsible for contacting the residents in their assigned area (usually about twenty houses). Block captains should also make themselves available as a point of contact for their neighbors to bring concerns to the Homeowners Association. Since not everyone can attend meetings, and we're too big for one person to reach everyone, having central points of contact is important for the healthy functioning of the community and for disseminating information. The commitment requires usually about four hours every three months (as needed). Block captains also report homes for sale in their assigned area to the welcoming committee.

Welcoming Committee -- We need several volunteers for this committee. The committee needs people who will put together welcoming baskets, greet new neighbors, provide orientation to new residents about McDowell Meadows, and contact realtors when homes are for sale to remind them of McDowell Meadows HOA. The time commitment is about four hours a month.

If you can help out, we would love to have your help. Please contact Liz Stroud at
[email protected] and include the committee in the subject line.
