The 2 most common questions I hear from Woman TTC & Pg is how sensitive a certain brand of HPT is and what the normal HCG level is for a certain time in the PG. I have searched the net and this is what I have found. If anyone has any tests that are not listed please email me at and I will add it ASAP [email protected]
If you like this site please bookmark it and share it with others. Please feel free to print of any of the info here. I decided to move the site here from tripod since I wasn't happy with how some of the columns looked there. I want to make it as easy as possible to use and understand. This information is not in any way intended for medical advise any questions should be addressed to your healthcare provider.
Important information: Use of aspirin, ibuprofen or naproxim sodium in the early weeks of pregnancy can increase your odds of miscarriage. The rate of m/c with these drugs is as high as 80% compared to woman who didn't take them.
My Favorite Books
Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler, MPH (2001) Revised Addition (The TTC Bible Really great book a must read)

So That's What They're For! Breastfeeding Basics by Janet Tamaro (Another must read, Written very well easy to understand)

A Child Is Born by Lennart Nilsson (This book has the most amazing pictures of the baby in utero, truly worth looking for)

Wise Woman Herbal For the Childbearing Year by Susun S. Weed (Excelent book for those interested in using natural herbal remades)

Your Pregnancy Week by Week by Glade B. Curtis, MD, OB/GYN (Really good for seeing the baby week after week)

For breastfeeding first time mom's the So That's What They're For book is really something. And get in touch with either a lactation consultant in your area of the La Leche League online. Please don't wait till the baby is born to look into breast feeding information by that time it may be to late. For example if you have inverted nipples there are things that need to be done before the baby is born to fix the problems so that the baby can nurse.
