Design 1: The scheme dealt with a form of light which has in India kept millions of home glowing during nights - The Petromax.
The conventional appliance was redesigned keeping in mind the extreme functional nature of the appliance. Major criteria was to use the Degree of Freedom for directing the light source.
Note: This entry was awarded all India third prize.

Design 2: The Indian subcontinent has been blessed with intense, non-replenishable source of light - The Sun, throughout the year.
Reflected curved surfaces as shown in the section of the roof were used to capture the sunlight and rotated and reflected by means of a fully automated system on the stage during any daytime performances, was the central theme of this scheme.
Note: This entry was awarded a special mention for the concept.

Design 3: The dreary dungeon of a photographer's dark room is devoid of all forms of light except a demeaning Red. The idea was to change the character of space. The scheme uses the very own principle of Pin Hole Camera.
The diminutive light source can be used by the photographer as and when the light would be needed and can also be used to wash prints etc. as and when required.
The idea was to bring the outside into the darkroom. The principle of aperture of a camera was used with a source of natural light to get the desired amount of light.
