Sayonara Party
Call it inspiration, call it madness, I obviously hadn't had enough of dancing, so Matt threw together a "sayonara party" of sorts for me so I could go out dancing with my friends before I had to leave Seattle again. After quizzing me on the type of music I was into and would like to dance to, Matt gave me a short list of clubs in Seattle he thought I might like. Of the 3, I chose The Last Supper Club.
I was pleasantly surprised at some of my friends who showed up to say goodbye to me (Thanks you guys; you know who you are! I love all of you! *HUG*), and to party, of course! ;-) There was a live band upstairs who was actually pretty good, but we headed downstairs to the coat-check, another dance floor, and the DJ.
The night started out rather slow, I have to confess, but I quieted myself with a couple of pink lemonades (no, I'm not a lush, I promise!) and the dance floor started to pick up as the crowd rolled in. The bar soon became impossibly crowded, so of course I dragged Matt to the dance floor and we had fun trying to dance without bumping into anyone. The DJ was kind enough to play quite a few of my favorite dance?/trance?/house? songs?/tracks? (I don't even understand how to categorize music these days) so I had a lot of fun.
Before the night was out, even Peter came out dancing. I'd never seen him dance before, ok? And I must say, he was good! I was quite impressed. Go, Techno-boy! Okay, I suppose Peter actually prefers trance, but what do I know? Sorry, Peter. *grin*
The night was over entirely too soon for me. Before I knew it the lights were coming on and we had to line up to get our jackets. Upstairs and outside we go. I walked to the car, arm-in-arm with my best friend, euphoric from a night of fun, and a little sad too, knowing this was my last night in Seattle and realizing this was my goodbye to my friends.
Still, I was happy and bouncy on the ride back home, I think. :-) I did my best to take some pictures of the lights of Seattle and even a MPEG movie with my little digi-cam, but I'm not sure how impressive it turned out. Don't complain to me about quality! It was 0300 and I was rather drunk, ok? *grin*
