Little Red Hen
It must be the Japanese in me, or maybe the part of me that likes making a public fool of myself, but I went rather eagerly to a little karaoke bar in downtown Seattle with my friends today. A short drive over the bridge, into downtown and there we were! Welcome to the Little Red Hen, everyone.
I walked into a rather dark, rather red atmosphere, with John the DJ spinning the lps and singing away. He's quite good, actually. And it was Connie the bartender's birthday so there were party hats on all of the tables. Fun. :-)
We looked through the books and put in our requests. I had taken my camera so I took a few test pictures to see how things would come out. I only managed to go up there once that night, and I dragged Matt with me, but I had a great time watching everyone else. I must definitely recommend catching Dan and Becky with their rendition of "The Devil went Down to Georgia." They had the whole room cheering for them, and with good reason! I was really impressed.
And for all that I never really thought of myself as a "karaoke" kind of gal, I had a really great time. And okay, I guess it helped that I had my fill of pink lemonades. *wink*
