Shake your groove thang I had no idea they had a ladies' night, but apparently Thursday night is ladies' night at Gameworks, so you just know I had to go! Free games from 8 to 11 pm? I am there, baby! For game lovers like me, it's definitely the place to be. Two floors worth of games, plus a restaurant so you can stock back up on some fluids and carbohydrates should your energy levels run low while you are there. I definitely played my fill of first-person shooting games, car racing games, and even tried out a couple of games where you have to do all the work yourself. Phew! I don't know about Matt, but I sure was out of breath after pedaling my heart out trying to beat him in a bicycle race! But the gem of all games, my absolute favorite, has to be Dance Dance Revolution. I know, a lot of my friends think it's stupid, and I'm sure I look a fool dancing on the machine, trying to follow all of the moves, but I still love it. Those lights flashing at you, the music blaring, that annoying little game voice telling you how horrible you are. *grin* I am totally amazed watching the really good people on it. I don't know if they've memorized the moves or they are just that good, but it's almost as fun to watch as it is to play. Hmm, have I promoted it enough? *wink* All I can say is, if you haven't tried it, you should! I think Matt actually had fun the second time I dragged him up there. *chuckle* Go, go, Mattie Ro! Oh! and don't forget the purikura (a Japanese shortening of the words "print club") machines up on the second floor. I always torture my friends with those because I insist on taking pictures with them. They are fun, you can stick them on everything, and of course it's a good memento of the occasion! We didn't even leave until after midnight. Sleepy, happy, and clutching my treasured purikura, I stared out the window at the lights of Seattle as we drove home. Bye, bye Gameworks! Thanks for the fun! |
