| Max ordered a Sigourney Weaver with Saturn rings and of course a cherry coke. Liz was glad to serve it to him. They didn't say much because Liz was busy but before she went to serve some more customers Max gently grabbed her wrist and said softly "I love you." Liz smiled and kissed him gently " I love you too." "It's gonna be okay Liz" Max said firmly. "I know" Liz replied and then walked over to serve an elderly couple. Closing Time: Max hadn't seen Mr. or Mrs. Parker for the rest of the day and now Liz was locking up. * What to do, what to do* he thought hurriedly. * She said stay until she talks to me so staying it is...... God! Liz looks amazing* Liz crossed the room and hugged him tightly. No words were spoken between the two soulmates and yet a thousand were understood. Mr. and Mrs. Parker walked down the stairs and were about to go into the Cafe but they saw Max and Liz hugging and silently agreed to give them a few minutes so they stayed out of sight. Both were curious about what the young couple would say to each other. "Max, let's run away" Liz said abrubtly. Max looked at her and asked softly, not wanting to hurt her feelings, "Then what?" "Move in together?" she asked hopefully. "Liz if we move in together I want it to be for the right reasons." he said trying to make Liz understand that running away won't solve the problem. It would only make it worse. "How 'bout... being together?" she said sarcastically. "It wouldn't work out" "We could get jobs" "What about your family Liz. It would tear your Mom and Dad apart." "They're already doing it to us Max. How can I help you find your son if I can't even be with you" Liz said fustrated. "You are with me, all the time..... all the time" he trailed off and embraced Liz. Liz looked up at him with a few tears rolling down her face. Max gently wiped them away with his thumb. "What are we going to do Max? Everything is so stressful right now." "...And it's all because of me" Max said guiltily "No..." Liz tried to refuse but Max cut her off. "Maybe it wasn't right for me to get back into your life in this way, I just seem to mess it up more." "Max, no that isn't true. I love you, life isnt worth living if I don't have you. I mean yes, you changed my life and some things happened that I didn't expect..." Max hung his head guiltily. "...but I wasn't living before you came into my life Max. You showed me what life with you was like please don't make me live without you. I love you with all my heart. We're in this together Max, no matter what. Don't pull away from me just because you don't think that I can handle it. I can and I will." "Okay" he swallowed thickly "I'm sorry just... forget I ever said that, I can't live with out you. I wouldn't even want to try. I love you Liz, your my other half." Max stroked her hair hair lovingly. "Max, did you mean what you said before? When you said that everything was gonna be okay?" "Of course I did. It will be okay Liz." "You promise?" Liz asked as she looked into his eyes to see if there was any hesitation. But she found none. "I promise" Max said sincerely. He leaned in and gently brushed his lips against hers. Liz sighed at the contact, thoroughly loving Max's mouth. Max pulled her closer and deepened the kiss. But Mr. and Mrs. Parker decided that the two had enough time alone. Both were reeling at the things that they had overheard. Mostly at how close the two were and Max had a son??? |
