My dealings thus far with my clients have invariably been cordial and trouble free. However, you will appreciate that we live in an age in which litigation is very fashionable. I ask all those using my tutoring service to agree to the following tutoring agreement.
Tutoring Agreement
Lessons
are given each week in the student�s home. If the
student needs to miss a lesson, then you should notify me
of this in advance of 48 hours of the session.
Otherwise I may, at my discretion, charge for the missed
lesson.
In all cases where I cannot deliver a session or where the student has unavoidably missed a lesson, I will endeavour, but cannot guarantee, to offer an alternative time.
Lessons are nominally of 1 hour�s duration. I will, ay my discretion, often work on a little beyond this without extra charge, so that the lesson reaches a natural conclusion. Longer sessions can be negotiated.
In the event that a lesson begins late, I will ensure that a minimum of 1 hour�s tuition is given.
Students are, at my discretion, set work each week, which they are expected to complete to the best of their ability. I will mark and/or discuss with the student, as appropriate, all work done.
Students or their parents agree to buy any textbooks, items of stationery and practice examination papers as required. I am normally happy, if you wish, to procure what is needed on your behalf.
Students must certify that coursework for their external exam is their own, unaided work. I cannot and will not, therefore, assist with exam-related coursework beyond offering very general and non-specific observations.
Whilst I undertake to make every effort to ensure the quality of the service I provide, I specifically do not guarantee that the student�s examination grade will be improved beyond that which he or she would otherwise obtain. You therefore agree that your use of my tutoring service is at your own risk. Neither I, nor any third party, shall be liable for any direct, incidental, consequential, indirect, special, punitive or similar damages arising out of the use of the service and its related materials, or any errors or omissions in the content thereof. You, the user, specifically waive any and all claims arising out of the use of this tutoring service.
You agree that you will not reproduce, publish or distribute any portion of any materials used in delivering this tutoring service without prior written permission from me.
Either party, with one week�s notice, may terminate a course of lessons without reason.
