Part 12

When the dishes were done he turn to her and asked "Do you want to watch a movie or something?"
"I think that I will just go straight to bed if you don't mind, because everything that happened today I am beat." she said to him.
"Hey don't worry about it. I'm kinda tired also." he responed.
They both started walking to his bedroom. She looked at him and said "Where am I going to sleep?"
"We can sleep on the bed." he said.
Shawnie was quiet and didn't answer him.
"Or you can take the bed and I can take the futon, or you can take the futon. I don't care." he responed to her.
"No, we can both sleep on the bed. It is a big bed." she said quietly.
Josh looked at her and turned to face him and said "Shawnie don't worry I won't try anything."
"Oh I'm not worried about that. I was just thinking that's all." she said softly.
Josh gave her a hug and kissed her head. He smelled her hair while he did this. He alway liked the smell of her hair.    When they broke from the hug Shawnie grabbed the journal and laid down on the bed to start reading it. Josh walked over to the other side of the bed and started to get ready for bed. When he got under the covers he just sat proped up on his elbow watching her read his private thought about her. She was so intensed into that she didn't notice that he was watching her.    When she finished the page she was on she looked at him and said "How did you find out everything about me? You couldn't find out just at school."
"I asked our friends and other people." he confessed.
They started laughing. She put the journal down and started to get dressed for bed. He watched her. When she got in bed she laid on her side that didn't face him. He leaned over and said "Goodnight Shawnie."
"Goodnight Josh." she said.
She fell alseep right away. He watched her sleep. She looked so peaceful that he wanted to wake her up and make love to her right then and there, but he didn't want to use her like River had.   She started to move so he moved back to his back. She laid her head down on his chest. He felt like he was in heaven. He wrapped his arm around her and fell asleep.
When he woke up the next morning she was laying on the futon reading his journal. He started laughing because she looked so cute the way she was sitting on the futon, with her legs curled underneath her and her shirt was pulled over her knees. She looked up from the journal and smiled and then went back to reading. He got up and went to the kitchen to find something to eat. She had already had breakfast done and ready for him.    When she finished the journal she went to the kitchen and handed it back to him and said "Man you do know everything about me?"
He started laughing and said "I told you that I did."
She started laughing and said "Well I think I'm going to do some laps."
She turned and headed for the pool. Josh was right behind her, but stopped when the phone rang. He ran to answer it. It was Grant calling to tell Shawnie that he was in town. He took the phone to her. When she found out who it was she got dressed and said "Josh can you take me to the airport? I have to pick up my uncle."
"Yeah sure. Why can't he just go to your house?" he asked.
"He is here to help me and Skeet save our house and from us moving." she told him.
He followed her to his truck. He helped her up in to the cab and then got in himself.   When they arrived at the airport Shawnie read the flight data screen and headed for the gate.   Grant was waiting in the chairs for her to get there.   When she saw him she started running towards him. They hugged each other really tight.   Josh just stood back and watched. When they broke from the hug Shawnie introduced him to Josh. Josh grabbed his bags and carried them to the truck. Grant and Shawnie were walking with their arms around each other.   When they got to the truck Josh put the bags in the back. Grant got in on the passage side and Shawnie got in on the driver side with Josh's help.    Josh started the truck and asked "Where to now?"
"To my house please." Shawnie said to him and then kissed his cheek.   Shawnie and Grant talked the whole way to her house. Shawnie could tell that Josh was uncomfortable, so when they got to her house she leaned over and said "Josh I'm sorry, but he is only here for a couple of days. He is here to help us. He is staying here so we won't have to worry about him being at your house."
Josh looked at her and said "I'm not worried. I want what is best for you."
Shawnie gave him a kiss and said "Well lets go in."
Josh got out and helped her out. They walked in the house holding hands. When they walked in Skeet, Drea, and Drea's cousin was in the den looking over the papers again. Grant was looking over Skeet's shoulder. Shawnie sat down and motion for Josh to sit down beside her. Josh sat down. Grant grabbed a paper and said "This is all wrong. This says that you have guardians. Your parents were very strict about not having you live with guradians. Who told you that you have guardians?"
"Our family lawyer." Shawnie spoke up.
"I want to meet this lawyer. He doesn't have a clue about the law." Grant said.
"Skeet can you take him to his office for me. I want to stay out of town. I don't want to go there if at all possible." Shawnie asked.
"Yeah sure let's go now." Skeet said.
Drea and her cousin looked at them. Shawnie said to Drea's cousin "Don't worry you are still helping us too. Grant is our Uncle and also a lawyer. The more people we have the better."
Grant and Skeet looked at each other and said "Do you want to go with us also?"
Drea's cousin got up and said "Yes please."
The three of them left and Drea sat staring at Shawnie and Josh. Josh saw her looking at them and said "Yes, Drea do you want something?"
"No not at all. I was just wondering how married life is." Drea said smiling.
"Drea, Shut up. I could ask you the same question." Shawnie said to her.
"Okay I understand. I will leave it alone." Drea said
Shawnie got up and said "Come on Josh I have to pick up more thing."
Josh got up and followed her to her room.   Drea stayed downstairs and watched T.V.
When Shawnie got to her room, she turned to Josh and said "My room is a mess so don't worry about it okay."
Josh nodded his head yes and walked in behind her. Shawnie headed for her closet and pointed to her chair and said "You can have a seat."
Josh sat down and started looking around her room. He saw all of her picture from the swim team and cheerleading. He got up and started looking at them. She was buried herself in her closet looking for something important. Josh walked over and asked "What are you looking for?"
Shawnie poked her head out and said "My swimming suit."
"Oh, Why would it be in your closet that far back?" he asked.
Shawnie looked at him and said "I put my suits in a box after we finish our meets, and I can't find them."
Josh looked around her room and saw the box in the corner by her book shelf. He went over and picked it up and said "Is this it?"
She looked at it and said "Yes, thank you. What is it doing over there?"
Josh shugged his shoulders. She started going through it and found the suit that she wanted. Her lucky hot pink suit along with her lime green suit.   She also grabbed her swim cap and goggles. She put them her gym bag and headed for the bathroom. Josh followed her and said "We have suits at my house why do you need these?"
"These are my lucky suits. I have to have them to practice." she said to him.
