CIW ~ Rise, and Rejoice!

There is a song by the late Christian artist, Rich Mullins, called "Awesome God". Truly this was inspired by our awesome God Himself! For it is He Who is the Fount of blessing and hope, peace and love. He is the One Who forgives us, and restores us, and heals us, and when we trust in Him, there is no doubt that He is ever with us. He is above us and below us, in us and through us. He is beside us every moment of every day, and there is no fear of His turning us away. Hallelujah! And truly, my friends, if you are down, or cast aside, or if you have any inkling of sadness or despair, then I say to you, In Jesus' mighty Name, Rise and be Healed, for the Hour of Forgiveness is Here! Oh how many times I have lain in my own despair, not heeding to my Lord and Savior. It was as if a covering had been laid over my eyes, and my view of the Saving One was hidden. I know this was satan's work, and that was because I let him. But I repented, and oh glory hallelujah, the touch of the Master rested upon me, and I was Healed! My eyes were opened, and I could see Him again! Be assured, my friend, our precious Jesus has not left you. You could be in the darkest valley, or in the deepest pit, and wave after wave of tragedy could wash over you and engulf you. But I assure you, The Hour of Forgiveness is Here! You who are lame, Take up your bed and walk! You who are blind, Open your eyes! You who are dumb, Speak the mysteries and wonders of our God! For it is He Who makes you whole, in body, in spirit, and in mind. He has touched me this day, and I exult in His awesome Presence! Dance before the Lord! Lift up your eyes, and see how He made the skies. The clear air, the cool breeze, the sun shining in its strength, the birds in flight, the blood flowing in your veins and your heart about to burst with joy... Oh such is the wonders of God! Thank You, Heavenly Father, for forgiving us! Thank You for Jesus Christ! Thank You, Lord, thank You. A little taste of heaven on earth. Such is the power of our Awesome God. Glory to His Name, amen.

CIW ~ Vanity, Vanity

We are living in days when it doesn't take a rocket scientist or a Bible scholar to see that these are perilous times. People unsaved are people lost, people without, and people condemned. Harsh truth if you deny it, but let me make this clear. Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, took upon our sins and died on the cross for you and me. You must accept this truth and believe it if you are to be saved from hell fire. Without Jesus Christ as your Savior you are doomed to eternal seperation from God. Still people go around living like that doesn't mean them. That's probably someone else, they think, and what a poor wretch he is, and then they continue their drinking too much, gambling, illicit sex, and who knows what else. It's too horrible to mention all the atrocities that this world has accepted as "normal". I am moved to righteous anger when I see someone on the TV talk show fighting and carrying on, and people think this is Entertainment? To think being gay is "normal", and even to Encourage Homosexuality? Being a mother, I shudder at this! Let me tell you something. Go confess your sins to God, and stop acting like children! We should get on our knees and thank God we are alive! We should Praise God Almighty because He gave us Life, and Breath, not to throw away, but to be Used by Him, and to Praise Him. The world just doesn't get it. It boggles my mind. Why spend your last dollar on a lottery ticket that you Know is going to lose? Why get drunk? Why have affairs with people who charge money to use their bodies, and perhaps get a fatal disease? Where's the reason? Tell me why. In case you can't think of the answer, I'll tell you plainly. It is Sin. We are Born in sin, we Live in sin, and we Will Perish in sin... Unless, we Repent, and Believe on Jesus Christ as Lord. Why should you? Let me explain. Sinners (you and me, before we were saved, and all other unbelievers) are Condemned to Everlasting Punishment in Hell. There is No gray area, and No middle ground. Heaven or hell. Streets of Gold, or Lake of Fire. You choose. Hell is the place "where the worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched" (Mark 9:44, 46, 48). Read the book of Revelation to get a clearer picture, in case you are curious, and serious, about it. Let me assure you, I am not trying to make you afraid or offended here. The point which I am desperate to drive home is this. The world is sinful. Live like the world, and you will perish, by your own sins, and for rejecting the love and sacrifice that Christ demonstrated when He died on the cross. He died for You! He Loves you That Much! Don't you Care? When you die, where will you be? In joy, or in torment? Are you ready for Christ's return? Heed these words which are not my words, but the words of Paul: "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved." Pray with me this prayer, and change your life from this moment on. LORD JESUS, I AM A SINNER. I CONFESS TO YOU I HAVE LIVED A SINFUL LIFE, AND I WANT TO CHANGE. PLEASE FORGIVE ME, AND SAVE ME. THANK YOU FOR TAKING MY PLACE ON THE CROSS, AND THANK YOU FOR CLEANSING ME FROM ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS. THANK YOU FOR THE GUARANTEE OF HEAVEN. IN JESUS NAME I PRAY, AMEN

CIW ~ Ever Feel Like A Punching Bag?

I am not one to question the will of God Almighty. At least that's what I'd like to believe. Have you ever felt as though your prayers aren't answered, as if they reach the ceiling and bounce off? That's how I feel at times, when the Spirit is in fact pruning away the old stuff so new growth can occur. I haven't been a believer for long, but I have learned that obeying the Lord isn't pain-free. Sometimes we forget that we must partake of the Suffering of Christ in order to earn a Crown of Glory. This is my suffering here, being married to an unsaved man, and having to deal with his worldly ways while trying to "keep my cool". Still God is gracious, because my cross could be a lot heavier than it is. Is your cross heavy today? Are you having a time praying and leaving your burdens at the feet of our Lord? A dear friend of mine told me that nothing can make God better than God. If you are expecting to hear from Him five seconds after you pray, then stop. God's timing is way different than ours, and He will answer your prayers, as long as they are from a humble heart, and when He says so. He is in control. I can never get tired of saying that. God has the final say. He is the Ultimate in power and strength. And nothing, no, nothing, is beyond His gaze or influence. So when you feel like you have prayed and prayed, and the devil seems to be rolling on the floor in contempt, take a deep breath and say, I do not belong to you, satan. I am a child of Almighty God! Then Trust in Him. Soon you will be rejoicing, because God had the answer all along. He was simply waiting on you to see it. Give Him all the glory and praise! LORD, I CONFESS TO YOU I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO TAKE SHORTCUTS AROUND YOUR WILL, AND I AM SORRY. I KNOW NOW THAT YOU HAVE A PLAN FOR US, AND YOU ARE WORKING IT OUT AS WE PRAY. FOR THIS WE ARE GRATEFUL. THANK YOU, LORD, FOR YOUR PERFECT WILL. IN JESUS NAME, AMEN.
