Song= Octopus's Garden Welcome to the Littles page! Hi! We're the kids in this family! � � Janice Joy is the youngest of the children at 4 years old. She is a very happy-go-lucky character and a bit of a tomboy. Janice Joy loves horses, and playing on the sandpile. ('specially with her brothers toys.) She has a lisp, just as Jan did when she was small. We are not sure how or why Janice Joy was created. Our best guess is that Jan felt guilty being happy, and so Janice Joy took it and created her world. She lives on the farm that Jan did when she was that age, and has a love for life that is refreshing! � � Squirt is 7 years old, and very mischevious. He loves to play practical jokes, 'specially on Jan's husband. Squirt and Julia, one of the teens, are very close, often sharing time by being "out" at the same time. Squirt also plays with Janice Joy quite a bit. � � Again, we are not quite sure how Squirt came into being, but our Dr. believes Squirt to be an "offspring" of Julia. When she first "came out" she was extremely frightened and used sign language to communicate with Jan's husband. She indicated that if she spoke, someone would hurt her in some way. With lot's of love and patience Jan's husband has worked with her and she will now speak to him occasionally. She has never given a name for us to use, and Jan's husband has always called her Little One. We don't know what it is she is so afraid of, and maybe never will. � � Janice is one of the 10 year olds. She has taken care of a lot of the anger that Jan felt at that tender age. Jan felt guilty for hating, or even being angry at, her father. To quote Jan, "What kind of little girl hates her daddy?" So, Janice took it and has no trouble voicing her opinions on any given subject. � � Janice likes to go to high school football games, and has the same love for horses that Janice Joy has. She tends not to really "hang out" with anyone, preferring to be alone. But occasionally can be found in the general vicinity of Martha's flat listening to the Beatles. (You can meet Martha on the teens page.) � � Another 10 year old, Spock is an integral part of our Family. He is a sort of stabilization factor for so many of us and our worlds in general. He is constantly maintaining a "wall" that seems to represent Jan's sanity in some way. The "wall" is also a form protection for all of us from outside factors.As the name infers, he is a totally logical component of the whole. � � Obviously, Jan was a "Star Trek" fan, and the character of Spock appealed to her as a sort of security that was lacking in her life. � � Penny is 12 years old and has a tendancy toward self destruction. She is a direct result of an almost "Peter Pan" ish mentality. She has gotten a glimpse of what lies beyond childhood, and wants nothing to do with it. While not being able to totally control her actions, some of us teens, with Spock's help, manage to keep Penny from hurting the family with her suicidal thoughts. Love and God Bless!
