Welcome Everyone!!!

This is my demolition derby page of the year 2000. On August 27, 2000, I raced at the Bureau County Speedway with my 1981 Cadillac. It had a V8 engine in it. This was my very first demolition derby as a driver. The year before this race, I was a passenger in my dad's car. This year, my sister was my passenger and part owner of the car. She wanted the number to be 69, but I know thats popular, so I put the "x" behind it. This was an exciting race for me. My very first time driving on the track! Below are the pics I have of my demo car. I didn't make my consellation heat because we couldn't get it started back up. Oh well! lol I had a great time and I hope you enjoy the pics.

As you can see, here is the front of the car. My first year I had a sponsor of TnT Tattoo's & Piercings. John (the owner of TnT), brought up the idea of him air brushing the flames on the car so I let him come over and do it in a neon green. It didnt turn out neon cause I had already painted the hood black. But I still like how they look! As you'll see, he brought many colors and I told him he can decorate it any way he'd like.... AND HE DID! LoL

Here is the right side of the car. You can see the many colors we put on it. Some of the other sponsors we had were: Walt's Garage, Wisenberg Photography, and Pinkies (restaurant). I also like how we do the tires. And as you can see, this was Becky's (sister) side of the car. And you can also see the continuous of the green flames. Notice how it shows up neon on the white door. If you also look closely, underneath the door, you can see the pipe. Putting it that way makes it sound like a stock car. Also, look at the rear tire. That tire looked really COOL when I was spinning the tires in the dirt! And check out how high the back of the car is. LoL We didn't do anything to it! I swear! *cough*air shocks*cough* LOL!!!

Here is the back of the car. You prolly noticed my phrase "HERE I COME" first. Hey... I love to try to intimidate the other drivers! LOL I loved how I did the bumper. Originally, I painted the entire bumper silver. Then I painted black stripes on it. Which looked really cool. Then John came and painted pink stripes in between them. lol Still looks cool though. The writing on the top that you can't read says "Smile...cause this hit is for Grandma and Grandpa". Hehehehe... I thought it was cool! If you don't like it.....BITE ME! LoL

Here is my side of the car. Don't you just love how John painted my name on the door?!?! Everything on this side is pretty much the same as the right side. The tires are different. They have different colors and styles. I wrote "Sting" on it, cause Sting is my favorite WCW wrestler. And the best thing I have on the car...which you can't see, but its above the "Thanks Mom & Dad". It says... "Just Bring It..." And if you didn't know... that is one of "The Rock"s sayings. I thought the other drivers would like that! LOL

Well by now you've seen the whole car. This picture is when we are getting ready to head to the track to race it. And as you see, there is a cat on the car. The cat's name is "Girl" and she ALWAYS came out to the demo car whenever we would paint it, work on it, etc. We don't really know why she did. The only real explanation is that this cat must have liked demo cars for some reason. lol

AFTER THE DEMOLITION DERBY

The next part that you're gonna see is the pictures of the car AFTER I raced it. But before we get to the pictures, there is a little story behind how I did. The reason why I only ran my heat race, was because one specific event that took me out for the rest of the night. While my car wouldn't start back up, a black car, with his backend already bent upwards, somehow bounced into the air and came back down right onto my trunk. Now that isn't the really bad part, cause you CAN still drive around with your trunk down to the mud. The really bad part is, not only did he smash my trunk down, he also bent the frame of the car. So now the frame was rubbing against my back tires. Im lucky they didn't blow since I kept spinning my tires against the frame. So there you go, that one move ended my night. And you'll see the pics of the back.

Here is the front of the car. And as you may know, it's always best to go after the front of a car to make their engine stop running. There was a car that was coming for my front and I backed up in time so that the only thing he did was rip off the plastic front piece of the car. The hood didnt bend one bit in this race, and I'm pretty proud of that. Cause some hoods bend, making it hard to see where you're going. So since mine didn't bend, I didn't have to worry about that at all.

Here is the right side of the car. You can somewhat see how the back looks. There really isn't much to tell about the right side. Everything looks the same except its bashed in a little bit. As I said, we couldn't get the car started. But one day I was just messing around with the car. Hehehe... I was outside shaking the car from side to side. Thinking that maybe I'd shake something lose and make it start. And guess what... IT DID!!! lol So then we rammed it into the tree, trying to get the back to go up and see if we can bend the frame back. But it wouldn't. It was getting dark so we decided to put it on tires for the night and work on it the next day. But... we never got it started again. lol

Here's the back. lol It's messed up pretty badly. We got the trunk back up in the pit the night of the demo, and did it a little more running it up against the tree. And we still tried to get the frame to bend back, but when we rammed it against the tree, the frame just bent again. So this car wasn't gonna run in another demo to say the least. lol And I thought the trunk was heavy. But it can't go against another car pouncing down on top of it. I didn't even know a car did that until I went up to the grandstand and talk to my family. My family thought the car was gonna run me over!

Here's the left side. Of course this was my side. There was one time a car hit me in the drivers door. And that really isn't allowed. Only it seems like the officials never catch anyone doing it. lol But anyway... you can see how scrunched up the back is and how the front of the car really held up. But looking at the whole car, doesn't look like much of a Cadillac now, does it??? LOL This car is where my shoulder part of the seat belt broke. So for the next two weeks my stomach hurt so much. I couldn't even sit up out of bed without using my arms. I still enjoy racing though!
