Back
in the grasslands of Steele Creek reserve, we have a view
of Avondale Heights houses perched on the rim of the
basin.
As
we swing around to the right, the hill - on top of which
is Lily Street park - looks like a tiring climb. However,
crossing the basin and beginning the ascent up the paved
pathway you realise that the path is so well graded that
the climb is almost effortless.
So
here we are, back at Lily Street park again with the
Maribyrnong and the grasslands of Steele Creek Reserve at
our feet. You can see the belt of scrub along the river's
edge through which we have just taken our virtual walk.
