Never Ending

Reprinted by Bywater Books in 2006

Born of wealth, but not of love, Sage Bristo was rescued by her Native American grandmother from a childhood of fear and abuse. Raised in the mystical tradition of her powerful Seneca foremothers, Sage learns to cherish her heritage as a member of the Clan of the Doe. Although strangers might be fooled by the handsome womans air of extreme confidence, her lover Deanne suspects that Sages emotional scars are hidden rather than healed.

Trying to find out more about Sages pain-filled past, Deanne unwittingly undermines the trust that is the foundation of their relationship. Sage draws deeper into herself, the only place she feels really safe. And with Sage at her most vulnerable, temptation appears in the form of an old friend and lover.

Unknown to either Sage or Deanne, much more is at stake than their future together. The path Sage chooses now will ultimately determine the survival of her clan.

EXCERPT:

There was no existence for Deanne beyond the desire enveloping her. It was all consuming, intensifying to a height she couldnt remember it ever having reached before. Deanne saw her beauty now defined in the dark sultriness of Sages eyes, her breasts by the fervor of the hand cupping them. Her mouth existed only through the feel of Sages lips upon it and her tongue within it.

Her senses soared helplessly out of her control and beyond all dreams, beyond all thoughts. Dipping in free fall, then caught by an updraft that sent them upward to breathtaking heights. Each time feeling she could go no higher, each time reaching the limit of her breath, until the final draft catapulted her into the weightlessness of orgasm.

Shooting all around her were showers of brilliance. And the brilliance was within, bursting from her, and the sound she heard was ecstasy hurling into space.

And then she was descending to earth in swirls of splendor. Horizons of sunsetoranges and fuchsias and pinks turning softswirling and blending and cooling to multitudes of cerulean and sapphire and an ocean of teal.

WHAT THE READERS SAY ABOUT NEVER ENDING:

Put warmth in your heart and pride in your soul. In Never Ending, Marianne Martin continues her excellent ability to develop strong, competent characters within a magical, entertaining story. This sequel to Legacy of Love is a touching love story, a historical novel, and a celebration of the strength of the human spirit and of confident, caring women, all in one unforgettable book. Ms. Martin depicts Sage Bristos extraordinary effort to save her Native American heritage as a member of the Senecas Clan of the Doe and, in the process, takes the reader through a gamut of emotions involving serious problems with her partner, Deanne, and tense, life-threatening events with family members. This is a real, warm story with graceful and brave characters that will make you proud to be a woman. A worthy successor to her earlier books and Im eagerly looking forward to the next. Thanks Marianne.

Never Ending is one book that is a must read. In Never Ending we meet Sage Bristo and Deanne Demore from Legacy of Love. Sage must face the end of the Clan of the Doe unless she or Cimmie has a child. Marianne Martin does her usual exceptional job of creating a book that is a must read and one that ends too soon. I could have wished for 100 more pages. Dont miss it!!!
