TODAY I AM GRATEFUL

Today, I awoke to the light of day,
The bird's were singing and in flight
I said my good bye and went my way
While thanking the Lord, my task in site.

He sent me a fine man to share my life
He's bright as sunshine, a ray of hope,
When I arrive home he greets me "Hello"
Thanks Lord I'm grateful, he helps me cope

Well now our days done, we wait another
Oh Lord I'm grateful for all you've sent
Our friends, our family and each other
He's always there when I am spent
