The Flock *~* 2007 Lambs *~* More Photos *~*  For Sale *~*Shetland Links *~*Shetland Info *~* Home
Shetlands are intriguing because of the diversity in type, wool, color and personality.. There are several different fleece types in Shetlands as well- ranging from short and crimpy to long double coats. I like to see the variety of characteristics in my flock. I also like small size and I have a soft spot for a good disposition, I especially appreciate a gentle ram.
I have been interested in color genetics for several years and started learning about shetland genetics shortly after my first lamb was born.. I like the rainbow of colors that Shetlands are capable of and thus far have at least 9 shades in my current flock- though I know a couple more could show up in future lambs.. I have always been fascinated by rarities also and since a couple of my first Shetlands carried the gene for spots (aka spotting, white markings), that lead me to an interest in the spotting gene. Most of my ewes have spotted backgrounds and I believe carry this gene as do my breeding rams..
All my Shetlands are registered with the
North American Shetland Sheepbreeders Assoc.

Ewes

Rams

LocksField Edelweiss is a lovely grey krunet ewe with a long silky fleece.
PetitePet Gwen is a flashy ewe with a soft black fleece. Her dam, Snowcap, is a black smirslet and is also new here.
Fletcher Sundance is one of my flock sires. He is a soft crimpy fleeced moorit with a wonderful disposition.
Fletcher Stonewall is a double coated ram from the Ole Blue bloodline. Blue-grey color. LocksField RoseBriar is my favorite 2001 lamb because of her overall beauty and friendliness. She is a moorit with some splashes of white about her head. LocksField Taryn is another lovely moorit Sundance daughter.
