Makala Weyr: The Contest

Ever looked at the Hatching Grounds and marvelled at the pretty, shiny queen egg that the golden dragon was so obsessive over?

Ever wish that little golden girl was yours?

Well! We smart BoD people know how that goes. And, just to help one lucky fan achieve that goal, we've created a little membership contest. How does it work?

Well, as a new Weyr, of course Makala is looking for new members. While we do encourage our current members to recruit, sometimes, we just need more. So....

At the moment, Weyr membership is pretty small. We'd love to just hatch a queen, but we don't have enough personas or members to warrant a queen hatchling. But we've hatched a plan! (Bad pun, I know.) From now until our membership reaches 25, we'll be keeping track of you - how many stories did you write? Recruit anyone? And, if you're keeping up with your requirements and don't already write a Makala Weyr queen dragon, then you're eligable to Impress that golden beauty!

How do you qualify?

Well. <g> Create a Queen Candidate on our join form (although, of course, we encourage you to make personas of other ranks!), and make her sheet absolutely fabulous (which we know you'd do anyway). Once the Persona Approving BoD maniacs have bestowed their blessing upon you, go ahead and write at least one story for her (more, of course, are welcome!).

Once we hit 25 members, the BoD will then go through all the eligable Queen Candidates and make their decision based on:
The persona's sheet
The story(ies) you've submitted
That's right -- no mundane contributions required! But, remember, if your little girl does win that shiny egg, you'll be expected to help the BoD out if they request it, and, of course, you'll have to *gasp* plot with us. (Okay, plotting with the three of us isn't that bad. I hope.)
