I Am A Proud Member Of:
The Phenomenal Men Of The Web
| Hi! I'm a 35 year old fellow from the west end of the city of Johnstown, in beautiful, south-central Pennsylvania. My birthday is 11/04/69. That of course, for you astrology folks means I am a Scorpio! (Beware of the Scorpions! LOL!) My interests are nature, Sci-fi stuff, (especially Star Trek), trivia, computers and making new friends. My hobbies/pastimes are collecting baseball cards (about 10,000 or so), Star Trek collectibles, going outdoors on sunny days, and meeting new friends on the net and around town. I am continuously changing this page as I learn more about this stuff. So, don't be surprised if it isn't the same the next time you see it. Eventually, I hope to have some pics of me and my family ( all of them) for you to see. I would like to hear from my friends who come across my page. Feel free to e-mail your comments and ideas to me, the link is below. Thanx, Michael |
A brief detour...

Joe
DiMaggio (11/25/14~3/8/99)
"Where have you gone Joe DiMaggio?
A nation turns its lonely eyes to you...
What's that ya say Mrs. Robinson?
Joltin' Joe has left and gone away..."
(From the words of the Simon and Garfunkel song "Mrs.
Robinson",
featured in the 1968 hit classic movie "The Graduate" starring Dustin Hoffman)

Another brief detour in remembrance...

The second corridor...the doors to my inner world are right around the next corner...but first, please take a moment to reflect on these thoughts below...
My Personal Quote A man with no voice possesses a shadow which speaks the volume of his soul. Desiderata Go placidly amid the noise and haste and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither, be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But, do not distress yourself with imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore, be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace with your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. Written and
