Majokos are created to keep the flow of mahou alive. Once again...another over simplification. Keeping the flow of magic alive requires several things, and not all of them can be done by one person. For this reason, there are several types of Majokos out there. These *types* will be described later. However basically several things need to be done to keep the flow of Mahou alive.
An obvious one, naturally. But not easy.
Hope tends to get kindled out pretty fast, its hard to give many people a reason to believe in anything, let alone look forward to a brighter future. A brighter future of what? Thats the rub. With the suicide rate getting higher with each generation, it becomes painfully obvious that Mahou's are being hardpressed to keep the hopes of people up. Young people particularly, who in the past always provided the easiest crowd to instill with dreams, have become quite sedated, and look for dreams in cyberspace, where there can only be lies and deceit. Their reliance on technology for a future destroys their love for fairy tales, and their future, in their minds, can only be won by practical steps, and partly by their birth.
Love. Love is a many limbed tree. Love for friends, love for parents, love for nature, love for the common man, and ofcourse love for that special *someone*. But what is love? Love to a majoko is an all encompassing emotion that when we feel it for someone, it is a 100%. We feel it as a real law of protection. Modern world has..once again, quantitated it. How much love do you give to what group of people, and when? There are measurements you should know, and you only have to love some people so much. It has gotten so bad, that often *love* is just an emotion of coveniance, and not really a pledge of affection and caring for life. Majokos strive to make love an emotion of promise and vow, and use it as it should be, a bandage to heal the world. If the world lets them heal it, that is.
This is a touch and go work. The basic meaning is this. There must always be a love and awe for mahou, and respect for those who use and can harness its powers. Therefore majokos will always do enough work to make some people have a belief in magic, enough that they in return will write fantastic works heralding this once great power. This may be in forms of novels, movies, paintings, whatever; and may not always be the pretty magical girls that we attribute to mahou power. But if the populace is able to keep at least some love for the lore of magic, then it is not forgotten and all is not lost.
At the same rate, however, it is also known that most of the world is trapped by its own scientific insecurity. Anything that can not be explained by modern science, must be captured and vivisected until it can be explained by rational means. Should this fail, this object must disappear forever, its existence never to be known to the general public. When you consider that many majoko's physcially are just young girls, its not hard to understand why most of them would not be able to stop from begin caught by organisations who are less than enthusiastic about Mahou becoming a reality.
In the end, sadly, majoko's must always balance between wowing an audience, and not attracting the wrong attention. Ofcourse, some majokos (Creamy Mami) have learned to desguise their magic in guise of parlour tricks and stage effects. These girls have learned an important lesson, one that most majokos realize is a crucial one to the survival of a young magical girl.
This one is tricky, and because of it's vagueness, often leads to many arguements among Majoko, particularly when Dark Majoko's get asked their opinions.
Majoko legend promises of a time when magic will be the predominant force again. Technology will take the backburner to the force of magic, and the earth shall be healed from the damage caused by the ignorance of humanity. A child shall rule the planet, an eternal child, and she shall rule for all time, for the good and love of all. This *child ruler* supposedly will espouse the beliefs and rules of Majokos for all to follow, by living them as the perfect exemplar. People in this new world will live much longer, as they did in ages past, due to the intense mahou in the air (or as some cynical mahou's say, the lack of other things in the air).
All Majoko know this legend, and all yearn for this day, even the dark majokos. It would seem that now, as the world seems to be preparing for this day to come soon, the Majokos should be banding together for the cause, yet it is the rushing forth that is causing desternation in the ranks. The main center of the debate seems to be *WHO* is the child princess? The main choices of today seem to be....
A. Sailor Moon (Princess Serenity) - Some majokos seem to think she is the child princess...And ALL senshi ( Soldier girls under the command of Sailor Moon ) KNOW she is. Half the senshi are willing to go toe-to-toe with those who disagree, while the other half usually just scorn any of the other tales of possibilites. Needless to say, it is this attitude of the senshi that have driven many majoko's away from putting faith into Sailor Moon as the child Princess, which would be a terrible catastrophe should she prove to be the chosen one. Interestingly enough, Moon happens to be the only one who does not debate much on this matter. I often wonder if there is a reason for that...Only the truely divine seek to hide their divinity?

B. Senior Majoko (e.g. Minky Momo) - Those turned away from or scornful of the Sailor Moon fairy tales, often say a senior majoko should be elected (although this does seem to detract from the legend's aspect of monarchial society). These left wings believe that the leader should be a majoko who has been around a while, one who has survived doldrum long enough to show all she has control of her heart and soul. At this point, the main candidate seems to be the illusterious (although in the last few years, she might be called the Invisible) Minky Momo. Without question, most mahou's would follow her, and she seems to have the capabilities to be a strong leader. However, several majoko's who claim to have spoken to her, say she does not seem to feel the same way. The main question would be, how does fate handle an election? While this seems like a modern day solution, some majoko's ask "Should we be seeking a modern day solution?"
C. Mystery Girl - There are a number of majoko who firmly believe that the Child princess has yet to appear, and when she does, all will know about it. They say that she will be a majoko with a heart of gold and a destiny from the Gods to lead. They feel that Earth cannot be ruled by one not of Earth or from a land of Fae, and that this girl will be human and will automatically shine as the example. When she awakens, all will fall into place. Not surprisingly, many Majokos criticize this as an overly optimistic and unrealistic probability. However there does seem to be a number of majokos who still belive that this is the truth. And anyways, isn't magic based on improbabilities?
Whatever the truth is, all majoko's sense this day coming soon, and are preparing for it in earnest. As more majokos have begun to awaken in greater quantities than they have in the last 80 years, it has begun to be prophized that the final days are here, and we should prepare for the big harrah.
Sadly, noone know for sure WHAT the big harrah will cost us in the end. THAT is still up in the air, and some Majokos have whispered that maybe we shouldn't actually be looking forward to this day...
