LEISURE
SUIT LARRY 1-7
1987,
1988, 1989, 1991, 1993, 1996 - Al Lowe/Sierra
When
I got my first real x86 system, a friend of my dad's brought over
a pile of disks with games for me and one of them was Leisure Suit
Larry 3. My dad even played along with me for a little while, but
I don't think he ever saw the bad innuedos they include...That was
probably a good thing since I was only around 10 years old then
ha! I was hooked on Sierra thanks to Al Lowe and his cheesy pimp-wannabe
loser hehe.
How
could you not love this little guy? Walking around all the time
armed with cheap polyester, gold chains and really bad pickup lines
trying his hardest with the fairer sex only to have to start all
over again when every date goes horribly wrong. Sand crabs, STDs,
Bondage queens, super deluxe hooter shooters, each and every game
has something to laugh at. I'm sure if I had ever met Al Lowe, he
and I would be great friends. Each game has a point system similar
to Quest for glory and all Sierra games. I was amazed when I first
started number three because the game had a *gasp* 4000 point max!
I think I only found around 3800 points over the 3 months or so
it took me to finish the game. I'm sure it would be much easier
now in the era of the internet walkthrough. For a good laugh, check
out LSL 1-7, they are all worth it!
