Fallout series

FALLOUT 1, 2, & TACTICS

Interplay

Colin called me up one day and told me I had to go out and buy this new game called Fallout. I took note of the game and pushed the idea to the side. What he didn't tell me was that it was basically the inspired sequel to Wasteland! If he would have said that...I would have been talking to him on the way to the store. It took my friend Sam to recommend the game a few months later, then I remembered what Colin had said.

Post-Apocalyptic RPG fans, hold on to your plasma rifle, this game is a must! While the main story is somewhat linear, most of the quests have multiple solutions, usually a good, a neutral, and an evil solution. Feel free to play your character out how you desire. The game makes you think about some problems and actually research things before you move on. I remember Fallout 1 being quite a challege.

I was a constant visitor at the interplay fallout website awaiting the release of Fallout 2. When it finally came out, I bought it as soon as I could find it. Unfortunatly I had to wait until almost a year ago to finish it because my old Pentium-90 kept locking up at the very final sequences of the game. I didnt get to see the ending movie, but that was fine because the story was excellent enough to make playing it up until that point worthwhile.

The release of Fallout: Tactics took me by suprise. I hadn't heard much about it, so thats about what I expected of it. I think I was partially correct. The strategy element just didn't seem to flow with the whole Fallout world. I probably just need to play it through again to appreciate it more.
