Fled
Stephen is a convict on the run. Laurence Fishburne is an undercover agent trying to break up an evil criminal empire run by a slightly sadistic Cuban. They're basically fleeing everyone (have I mentioned the subtle titling theme?) - the cops, the Cuban gang, more cops, the mailman, everyone. They strike up a friendship of oppertunity to defeat the evil ones and redeem their good names.
Stephen goes to visit his girlfriend after breaking out of jail. They make plans for thier future and how they're going to defeat the evil Cuban mobster. And, speak of the devi, our friend the Cuban gangster shows up with a horde of armed thugs. They kill Stephen's girlfriend and in the ensuing fight, Stephen gets knocked out. The next scene opens with smelling salts under his nose. As the camera comes out, Stephen has been relieved of his shirt and his tied tp the loft with what lookds like gym socks or a towel. Stephen gets punched about a bit and some soft spots probed. Then, we find out that the Cuban vilan has a thing for eastern torture techniques, which he's about to practice on Stephen.

The Rating
Stephen Baldwin, no shirt, arms tied straight above his head. Good thing, no? Stephen really gets put on the ropes (so to speak). He gets punched, thrown around and a bit with the Chinese torture knives. Stephen's reactions are Grade-A. He's distraught over his dead girlfriend. he screams and yelps in pain as he twists on around on his rope. And yet, despite all this, he reamains defiant and refuses their entreaties and spits on them.
The pluses ...
The minuses ...
Well, Laurence shows up to bust up the party just when things are getting going. The scene is kinda short. I've not a lot of complaints about this one, though.
