MORE INFO ABOUT
EINDHOVEN
Eindhoven is situated in the province Noord-Brabant.
This is a view of South-East Brabant. At the top of the picture you can see Vught, that's the place where I work. It's about 30 kms from Eindhoven, a 25 minutes drive (when there are no traffic-jams on the A2;-)
Eindhoven is the 5th city in the Netherlands (concerning amount of citizens)...after Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht.
We got a bit more than 200.000 people living in Eindhoven.
I'm living in the district called Woensel...it's somewhere where the arrow points at.
I live at that place now since October of '97 and I like it very much there; it's almost down-town.
Eindhoven is a very modern city...with almost no historical buildings. Part of that is because it was bombed heavily in WW II by the allied forces, and part of it is because Eindhovens growth as a city started in the 20th. century.

Eindhoven is a city of industry...it's the home of
Philips who invented the cassette-tape and co-invented the CD. Philips is the one who made Eindhoven as big as it now is.

But Eindhoven is also the homecity of the famous
DAF Trucks factories.
