~The Color Of Romance~
My first "story poem" set ever written, I wrote this to tell the story of a part of my life, and through that be able to come to terms with it.  This work is fiction, only the emotions are real.  It is 20 "chapters", excluding the prologue below, some of which are relatively short, others long, so they are linked in sets of 3.  The original texts have also been included here at the bottom if you are interested in backround, the notes are very beneficial for understanding plot points, and the connection to my life, as well as avoiding confusion, as the poems are sometimes written from different character's points of view.
"In the new millenium, every one wants to wear the colors of their heart
on the outside.  But, on the other side, exists true love, that lies hidden.  There
comes a timethe last scene.  It is where choices are madeand the curtain falls."

-Excerpt, from Lareine's "Fierte no Umi to Tomo ni Kieyu"

It was 1966, in Hakone, Japan, when two wandering souls met, forever
changing how each saw the other's world.  She was a journalist on vacation, I was
a drifter, and I still am in a way, drifting from club to club, playing this song for
whoever wants to listen.  The piano can't really capture the sound of our struggles
though, it was like the sound of far off thunder.  This is the songthis is the color of Romance.
