           Under the direction of Phyllis Michl and Lourdes "Lou" Raymundo, our caring staff offers services designed to give as much of a helping hand as our residents need. We offer a full range of services: medication management, transportation to doctor appointments, daily housekeeping, sit-down meal service, and organized activities.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Magnolia Royale a "nursing home"?
No. Persons residing in nursing homes are patients. They are bedridden or wheelchair bound and require full-time skilled nursing care. Some nursing home patients who are able to recover from their health setbacks can choose to reside in an Assisted Living facility such as Magnolia Royale.

If it's not a "nursing home" then what is it? If I don't need a lot of help right now, can I still live at Magnolia Royale?
Magnolia Royale is an Assisted Living Facility. It provides supportive services to elderly persons who are frail, but neither bedridden nor wheelchair bound. We offer independent seniors a catered lifestyle that takes many burdens of daily living (i.e. cooking, cleaning, transportatoin, medication management) off their shoulders.

I frequently forget to take my medicine and can't keep track of my appointments. Can Magnolia Royale help me?
Yes. We provide medication management services and arrange transportation to doctor appointments.

I no longer drive a car. Do you provide transportation services?
Yes. We provide transportation services for doctor appointments, shopping trips, the post office, banking, and fun outings.

I no longer cook for myslef. Is meal service included? What about special diets?
Yes. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks are served in a cheerful dining room. Dietary restrictions are accommodated with delicious alternatives.

My arthritis and balance make many of my daily activities difficult, if not unsafe. Can Magnolia Royale help me?
Yes. Daily grooming, dressing and bathing are available. Escort services to meals and activities are also available.

Just to be safe, I wear a diaper. Is this a problem for Magnolia Royale?
Not necessarily. We manage light incontinence, but if self-awareness of incontinence does not exist or if beds are constantly made wet, then a nursing home is the appropriate setting.

Can I request someone to look in on me every 2 hours, 7 days a week?
Yes. 2 hour monitoring is available.

Are governement assisstance programs available?
Seniors with few or no assets may be eligible for SSI. We accept residents receiving SSI. However, because the SSI program provides us with no compensation for many of our Assisted Living services, SSI recipients must be substantially independent and only in need of transportation services, medication management and once-a-week laundry and bathing service. The SSI program is based on shared rooms. If an SSI recipient can arrange for assistance from family, a private room may be rented with an additional fee.
