Alan & Jeannie's Adventures in Japan.................................AnJ44

This is Himeji castle.  It is about an hour away by train.  It is empty, but the structure and the grounds are beautiful.

The day we visited was a free day...we weren't the only ones that took advantage of that.  The Japanese picnic on these tarps.  They take their shoes off before going on the tarp.  It was a very nice day, mid 70's.  The cherry trees were just beginning to bloom.
