Baby A is on the left side and she is a mover.  Lately she has been starting  to punch me in the ribs, it feels very weird but also makes me laugh.
August 19th
We were just planning to see our  "Baby Bean" for the first time, instead we found out we are having "baby beans".  We weren't planning to find out the sex, but when we found out there were 2, we couldn't resist.  Baby Girls!  We can't believe it!
Baby B is on the right side.  She has some part wedged in my rib cage, no doubt she is there.  I have started feeling parts of her.  I can't tell exactly which parts, but they are tiny.  She started out as the smaller baby, but I think she is catching up!
September 5th
We had our first appointment today since finding out about the twins.  We got to hear both of their heartbeats... sounds good.  Our next appointment is the 26th, and then we start going every 2 weeks.  The time is just flying by!  We started our registry, so I have been spending my days researching different products.  Only the best for my girls.
Baby News
Fun Facts
In the general population people have a
1 in 85 chance of conceiving twins.

If your mom is a fraternal twin, you have a 1 in 17 chance. (My mom has a fraternal twin brother, thanks for the babies mom!)

Twins are normally born premature, somewhere around 37 weeks.

By the end of the 5th month of pregnancy the babies are about 7 inches in length and about the size of a Barbie Doll.

September 23rd
Had a bit of a scare tonight.  I started having contractions, so I ended up having to go to the hospital.  Luckily they stopped while I was there, & I didn't start dilating.  I got put on all the monitors though, so we got to hear and watch a graphing of both baby's heartbeats.  It was really amazing.  Nice also to have an idea of what it is going to be like when I actually do go into labor.
September 26th
Went to my regular OB appointment.  Everything is going well.  I gained 9 pounds this month.  Somehow I have put on almost 20 lbs.  According to the midwives I will probably put on another 20!  Got to hear both heartbeats again; both of them are around the 150 to 160 range.  They are moving around more and more these days.  Now I will be going to the doctor every 2 weeks instead of once a month.  Time sure does fly.  Look for new pictures on Monday, we are having another sonogram!
September 30th
The sonogram went very well.  The babies are growing well.  2 1/2 lbs a piece!  The sonographer said, based on their size, the new due date would be December 24th... that's my girls!  Take a look, Baby B is waving.  Child birth class starts tomorrow!
Baby B - not so much like a skeleton anymore, kind of like the Pilsbury dough girl.
Baby A - Getting bigger!
October 1st
The first child birth class was good.  We practiced relaxation methods.  There are 8 other couples, all due at the end of Nov. or beginning of Dec.  Should be fun!
