As I mentioned previously, Wimbledon is on the same railway line as Leatherhead where we were staying, so on our way back to get ready for dinner we got off the train and  got a bus to the Stadium to try and sneak in...

I'd found out there's a Museum so we thought that would be interesting to see as we knew we weren't going to be able to actually see any matches, but then I discovered you can't go into the Museum during the Tournament :-(
We thought we'd at least be able to get into the gift shop, but without a ticket, you can't get through the gates...

First view of the Stadium from the bus

Even though we couldn't get in I was thrilled to be there during
the Tournament to soak in the atmosphere -
and I knew some of the big players were in there
either playing or practicing.....

I did manage to get a couple of shots through the open gate behind the official's back!!!!!!

This part had a wire mesh fence and shrubbery
but I still got a reasonable pic :-}

and I waited for an official to move so I could snap this one!!!!!

This one speaks for itself.....

another pic from the bus on the way back to the station..

Back at the station.....

..and this isn't "The" Centre Court - it's a shopping centre.....
