We'd seen on the map that we were given on our Big Bus Tour that they 
also did a Da Vinci Code walk, but we'd missed it yesterday and didn't 
really have time to do the whole walk today.   So we decided to find the 
Temple Church  - which was marked on our map - 
by ourselves...... 
It wasn't as easy to find as it looked like it would be on the map,
but after walking through some back lanes and asking directions
-  going through this lovely courtyard..........

..........and even more back lanes,
we finally found this column with a statue of one of the
Knights Templar........

and The Temple Church......

There was a talk on the Da Vinci Code being held in there at the time but we'd
arrived 10 minutes too late to join it.  We had dinner plans for that night and wanted to stop at Wimbledon on our way back to get ready for dinner, so
didn't have time to wait and look inside when the talk finished......
But I was very happy that we did find it and at least got to see the outside...

The dotted purple line is where I think we walked through from the Strand and the solid purple line is where we walked after we'd asked the guy at the little kiosk for directions.  However, if we'd walked  a little further along The Strand/Fleet Street, we would have found a sign - where I've drawn the blue circle with a cross in it - pointing to the church!!!!  We found that on our way out when we followed the red line!!!!
I only discovered all this when I zoomed in on this pic of the map when I was going through all my pics to put them up online.......
