Puppy Kindergarten & Socialization Classes

Courses are designed especially for and limited to young puppies and small breed dogs. Everyone is more or less in the same boat, dealing with the same types of problems. Puppy kindergarten courses are comprehensive yet geared for the younger pup who does not have a long concentration span. They provides a wonderful opportunity to combine training, play and socialization. It is at this age that the dog is easiest to train, provided the training is gentle and made fun. Encourage the entire family to attend classes with their puppy.

Household Manners:
Biting, Mouthing, Jumping, Barking, Chewing, Housetraining, Whining, Getting into the trash, Stealing food and clothing, running amok, etc. You know, all those things that young pups love to do.

Handling:
Getting your puppy to enjoy being groomed, touched, handled by the vet, having their nails clipped, tail tugged, ears cleaned and so on. Child proofing.

Socialization:
Make sure your dog doesn't grow up to be fearful or aggressive.

Training:
Teach the basics of coming when called, sit, down, stand and stay with both verbal commands and hand signals. Teach leash manners, tricks and more.
