After completing  the promotion of
TLBB  in  Hong Kong and Taiwan,
Jimmy has faded from the audien-
ces'  view onscreen.  Only  when  I
(reporter) asked him if  he's going
to be a part of the crew working on
Jin Yong's serial, The Condor He-
roes,  then did I found out  that  for
these 2 months, he had been trai-
ning hard on racing. And he would
be joining his good friend, English
racer  Matthew  Marsh,   who   just
won champion in the Asian Porsc-
he Cup,  in  the 2004 China Grand
Prix.
Putting  car  racing as his 2nd life,
Jimmy  is  not  only  Taiwan's  first
paid  car  racer,  he  has  also  his
own racing team. Not long ago, he
achieved  good  results in the rally
race held in Beijing.  Asking him if
he  would  go  full time into racing,
Jimmy replied, "To me, equal  foc-
us  would be put  into the future of
my  showbiz  work  and  racing. To
be able to be a paid racer, is  bec-
ause the sponsors considered th-
at  I'm  a  widely   known   celebrity.
But if I don't perform well in my  ra-
ces,   they  also  wouldn't  want   to
risk paying a high price.
Matthew Marsh is  a TV  program
host of  England's  SKY  channel.
Like Jimmy,  due  to  his passion
with  car  racing,  he's  bearing  a
double  status.  The difference is
that during the Asian Formula ra-
ce held in Shanghai this June, at
the 2nd round of the  finals,  Jim-
my was disqualified due to a col-
lision and wasn't able to achieve
a   position.    Whereas   Matthew
Marsh  just  finished the Porsche
Cup  and  won   champion.   After
Marsh has  won  champion,  Jim-
my immediately called him to co-
ngratulate  and  Marsh  took   this
chance to invite Jimmy to join his
racing  team.   Jimmy  expressed
to me that if the conditions are fe-
asible,  he  might  join  his   good
friend.
When asking him if he would still
film in 'The Condor Heroes', Jim-
my said that he had communica-
ted with Mr Jin Yong over the pho-
ne and Mr Jin recognised  Jimm-
y's performance in TLBB,  but  he
felt  that  the  role of  Yang Guo is
not  really suitable for Jimmy. On
the other hand, Jimmy is definite-
ly hoping to take part in the China
Grand Prix in Shanghai this mon-
th.  He  said  other   than   racing,
movie-wise,    his   management
company   is   discussing   about
possible  involvement in a movie
with Hollywood's  movie  compa-
ny, but as there haven't been any
finalised conclusion, therefore, it
wasn't appropriate to disclose.
