Spring Break 2000
Juneau, Alaska
In March of 2000, many of my friends left to go to many different places for Spring Break.  I would venture to say that most of them went somewhere to enjoy the sun, being warm, and getting in any body of water they could find.

Not me.  No sir, I decided to go the opposite direction.  And so on March 18th, I, along with 19 other students left Harding to go to Juneau, Alaska to work with the Juneau Church of Christ.

That week turned out to be one of the most fulfilling weeks of my life.  There is not another place in the country that is near as beautiful as Alaska.  There are some places that you can see when flying in that you know have never been touched by human hands.  The church there took all of us in immediately and did every thing they could to make us feel at home, and I think I can safely speak for our whole team when I say that they succeeded.

There were so many chances to serve.  Some of us worked at the Fireweed Retirement Home, others at the Glory Hole soup kitchen, and others doing various jobs around the church building.  The youth group there along with their families were great.  I made some wonderful friendships with great people, some of which I am in contact with even today.

Needless to say, my Spring Break plans for 2001 are already set, and I cannot wait to get back there.
Pictures
Due to the large number of pictures, as you can see, I have divided them into 3 galleries.  Due to the fact that there are a lot of pictures on these pages, they might take a minute to load.
