PSA DIGITAL IMAGING CIRCUIT #1

DIGITAL ARTIST and PHOTOGRAPHER

" Here we have the same person as in last months picture. It was taken same day but just recently modified in Photoshop by SOLARIZATION and DUOTONE toning. I did not dare to do this until now because of the inner tension, the balled, cramped hands which my model shows. But in fact: it is just the picture of a young person. Unshure about herself and full of contrary feelings......

I did another version trying to hide these hands. It is shown here as well. But I lost her wonderful long hair and I lost the strong expression. So for me the original is the right one. "

About my picture: There seems to be a small accident. My idea was to show the whole picture - with hands and full hair - as main picture. The short one - which is now the main image - was ment to be a thumbnail as explanation to the text.
In case you feel there should be some technical advise how it was done, here it comes:

-channels selected and mixed from scanned color negative for monochrome mode
-mode change from RGB to Greyscale
-solarized and inverted, contrasts/brightness adjusted
-mode changed to DUOTONE and new toned colorshade selected
- mode changed back to RGB and lips colorized in HUE/SATURATION

BIOGRAPHY

Born in 1929 in the middle of Germany to a father loving photography and a mother loving theatre I am now a retired textile technichian photographing events on Bangkok`s stages on freelance - base.

I have spent 44 years of my life in Finland and moved to live in the outscirts of Bangkok 6 years ago. The theatre sceenery here in Thailand is marvellous and gives wonderful opportunities to take beautiful pictures.

As member of the Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain I gained my Assosiateship as well as recently my Fellowship in the THEATRICAL section.

I am participating in the PSA Picture of the Month activity.

At the moment I work in my darkroom with monochrome as well as with my computer in Photoshop 6,0. Colorprints I print with a trusted lab on a Fuji Frontier digital Minilab. Slides are not my way, due to low exposurelatitude. In stagephotography is no time for braketing and one has to be shure the image can be taken in the desisive moment.
