BIOGRAPHY

I do digital imaging for fun. I share tips and tricks with friends. We all have a good time creating:
photographs to enter contests
photographs to hang on a wall
photographs to give a gifts
greeting cards to send and to give as gifts
Christmas cards and stationery
websites

Regarding The PSA Journal, I wrote the Online column in 2000 and will be writing the EID column beginning in 2001. Periodically, I write feature articles. The September issue contained my Planning a Photography Trip.

I've been a member of the Photographic Society of America for 22 years and enjoy their annual international convention. I participate in 2 PSA digital imaging circuits (study groups), one on the Internet, the other a print mail-around group.

Years ago I taught French in a suburb of Chicago, followed by owning Images Unlimited, a photographic art gallery in St. Louis, MO, which specialized in original photographs to decorate businesses and homes. I raised 3 children and am now enjoying 2 grandchildren. I am retired.

My Macintosh G4/500 has 384 MB memory, 30 GB hard drive, Zip drive, and a DVD-RAM which accepts DVD-RAM disks of several gigabytes each (like having a Zip drive accepting gigabyte disks). To scan slides and negatives, I use a Polaroid SprintScan 4000. To scan prints and actual objects, I use a UMAX 2400S flatbed scanner. I print on an Epson 1270. I burn CDs with an external firewire LaCie CD-RW.

Im in the process of changing location for my personal websites. Please stay tuned! In the meantime, you can visit the website I manage for one of my camera clubs at http://community.dallasnews.com/dmn/PlanoPhotographyClub. I do the newsletter page, the download page, and the Photos of Club Activities page.
