WHITBY BOLLARD

Testing out my new Minolta Dimage7 digital camera we went over the hills to Whitby and took a series of pictures at the old Abbey and the Harbour.  This is where the famous Explorer Captain Cook sailed from and this is the East Pier which had been closed for over twenty years, and is now repaired and accessible.  The picture was taken as if using 100ASA film,  at 1600 pixel size and on fine setting and whgite light setting for bright sun.  On reading on PC  I used autocontraast and autolevels, the bollard was picked out for a little colour saturation and the whole put into Labcolour, changed to entire black and white and then given filter-unsharp mask treatment and afterwards brought back to RGB and framed
