A girl is pursued by vampires, but it turns out to be a trap set by streets kids led by Gunn. Meanwhile Angel, Cordelia and Wesley visit David Nabitt who has been photographed in a compromising situation. Angel goes to a demon brothel where David was photographed. Here he learns who took the pictures, even though as a vampire he was not welcome. Upon finding the photographer, Angel threatens him, and asks for the photos. Gunn's group see this, and plan an ambush for the next night when Angel should be given the photos. The photographer also sets an ambush though, so when Angel returns he is in for some trouble.

Angel takes out the demon sent by the photographer, gets hold of the photos, and manages to escape Gunn's ambush. On the run, Angel goes accidentally into Gunn's base, setting off, but surviving several traps. Whilst cornered, a stray arrow nearly strikes Gunn's sister, but Angel saves her. It is enough for Angel to be set loose, but Gunn is no friend yet.

The vampires from earlier don't give up though, and set a trap. They take Gunn's sister, and turn her into a vampire. Angel comes back to Gunn to try and help, but they lock him in a meat locker. Once Wesley and Cordelia manage to set Angel free, he goes after the vampires, and as he arrives he sees Gunn having to stake his vampire sister, a tough decision to make.

The remaining vampires spring their trap, initiating a stand off between many young men and a large number of vampires. Angel is in the middle however, and after staking the leader, has everyone's attention. He points out that not many will survive the fight, and suggests a truce. They all leave, saving many lives. Later, Gunn and Angel talk, not as friends, but as potential allies for the future.
