Wesley uncovers a new prophecy, and decides to investigate. With the help of Gunn, they discover some scrolls which lead them to believe there could be some sort of "Troclon" rising soon. Meanwhile, Darla catches up with Angel in L.A. and announces that she is pregnant with their child. A shock to everyone, this mysteriously coincides with the timing of the prophecy.

Things get messy though when Darla tries to bite Cordelia. Fortunately Angel stops her, but Darla fleas, and goes in search of fresh blood. Angel goes off in pursuit, and manages to reach her before any blood is spilled.

When Angel talks with Darla again (after a short fight of course), they realise that the reason for Darla's behaviour is that the child inside her has a soul. This doesn't mean he doesn't fullfil the prophecy, but sounds like good news.

However, at this point, Fred realises her calculations were innacurate, and that the Troclon was to arise now, not earlier, and the viewer is then showed a scene where Holtz, the man who tracked Angelus for years, is brought forward in time by a demon of some kind, called Sahjhan.
