Doyle receives another vision, this time of a bar, somewhere in L.A., and so the three members of the team head down to the city to investigate. Upon finding the right bar, they stumble across a serial killer. Bodies are turning up, completely drained of life and a lot of other things, but when Angel discovers a victim, he is accused of being the murderer by a cop, Kate, who had been in the bar investigating the murders.

Angel tries to explain that he is a private investigator, but eventually is forced to make an escape. Meanwhile the victims begin to pile up, as a mysterious demon works its way through people who visit the bar.

After Doyle and Cordelia uncover a way to kill the burrower demon, they wait until it tries to jump from one host to another, and prevent it from doing so, and eventually manage to kill the demon with fire.

It appears as if Angel may have an ally within the police force now, but how long will it be before Kate uncovers Angel's secret?
